Ötzi the Iceman

SANT’OSVALDO WALK
The Sant’Osvaldo walk connects Sant’Antonio with Santa Maddalena, the characteristic hill on which the grapes with which the homonymous native wine is produced are grown. In the background you can see the Dolomite massif of Rosengarten, an iconographic image of the city.
Considered one of the most beautiful walks in Bolzano, full of Mediterranean plants and spectacular views of the city, it can be easily walked in any season: a splendid opportunity for a quick and fleeting excursion from the city.
GUNCINA WALK
The route of the Guncina Walk, prepared since 1892, starting from the Gries district with the historic Benedictine abbey leads first to the former Hotel Germania and then towards the road to San Genesio, before descending into the Rio Fago gorge to bring you back to Bolzano at the height of the Lungo Talvera.

GARDENS OF THE TALVERA
The city of Bolzano is crossed by the Talvera stream, a stream that comes from the Sarentino valley and along whose banks stretch lush meadows, playgrounds, long walks and state-of-the-art cycle paths.
This area, which constitutes the green lung of the city, is very popular with both tourists and locals, as it allows you to spend moments of true relaxation, strolling through its tree-lined streets and entertaining the little ones in the special play spaces. Numerous sports fields also enrich the area and attract lovers of soccer, baseball and softball. The Druso, Talvera and Sant’Antonio bridges are the three main connections that cross the stream, but other minor footbridges allow everyone to follow circular routes, on foot or by bicycle.

The building, designed by the KSV Krüger Schuberth Vandreike architecture studio in Berlin, is conceived as a center for contemporary culture and aims to occupy an important space in the Italian museum scene. Renon cablewayi
The new Renon cableway, which connects Bolzano to Soprabolzano, is an international model of public transport, with departures every 4 minutes.
From Soprabolzano it is possible to continue the tour of the plateau with the Renon train. The train journey, between Soprabolzano and Collalbo, crosses vast meadows and fields, offering a view of the farmsteads and beautiful glimpses of the Dolomites. It is truly an exciting experience.
